Light a Candle
PFC Daquan D. Keith, 18, of Syracuse, NY., passed away peacefully in San Antonio Medical Center, Mar. 21, 2013. The funeral service will be today, Wednesday, Mar. 27, 2013, at noon at Tucker Missionary Baptist Church in Syracuse. Burial will be in Syracuse, at Oakwood Cemetery with full military honors. Daquan was born April 17, 1994, in Syraucse, NY. and was a member of Corcoran High School class of 2012, where he was a tri sport athlete. He joined the U.S. Army in 2011, where he completed BCT as a junior in H.S. He was awarded numerous awards and decorations, the most notable being Medal of Honor. To his friends he was a walking encyclopedia, who had an insatiable desire to learn 'til his last breath.' He walked the talk as they say. To his family, he left behind a legacy built on integrity, loyalty and love. He is survived by his father, Edward L. Keith; mother, Lisa Ann Johnson; brother, SPC DaShawn R. Keith who is also in the U.S. Army; sister, Jamila Stephens; brother, Jock. J. Days; son, Jay Scott Keith and a host of family and friends that loved him dearly.
